Hesitation booting up SY-KT333

Ok When I go to boot up my computer I gotta wait 10 seconds on the dot after I hit the power button for it to boot up
you can hear the fans going when you hit the power everything else waits for 10 seconds and I can't figure it out!??
I mean it's not hurting nothing it's just one of those things where you wanna know why.. you catch me?
I'm running a Soyo KT-333 Dragon Lite XP2200 512mb Crucial PC2100 80G Western Digital SE HD w\t 8mb cache Ati Radeon 9700 Pro
SB live Audigy
And when it does boot you see a flash of the detecting screen like not even a second and right to booting up windows XP
Is this normal for this mobo? or is it a bios setting?

I have the Dragon Ultra. I found that during a cold boot, for whatever reason, the monitor doesn't get a signal until just a second before it moves on the RAID initialization. In the mean time, it's doing its startup thing with a big, blank screen.

If I warm boot, it doesn't do that. What do you get on a warm boot?

Same thing during a warm boot
I see the detecting screen bout half a second longer
I did notice the monitor didn't get a signal until I heard it beep...Do you know why it does that?

I haven't a clue why it does that. It's only annoying in that I don't know when to hit DEL to enter the BIOS.

It isn't a high priority on my "things to fix" list... but you may want to inquire at VIA Arena or AMDMB.com.
