Just heard how the male passangers after hearing of the crash at the WTC over a cell phone voted to do whatever was needed to stop their plane from doing what the terrorists wanted to do, knowing it would mean their lives.

wow.
true american heros.

I agree. Is it confirmed that it happened this way or is it still just from that cell phone conversation that talked about a vote?

They truely are heros and I feel for their families.

If I were in the same situation, I would have tried to do the same.

I would have called my girl, said my goodbyes and would have started an f'ing roit with the rest of the passengers to try and stop the mad men. Its not easy to say it, but if they were weilding knives and sharp objects, I'd hesitate much less than if they were holding guns.

I applaud the heroes who saved the lives of more innocent people, even if it cost them theirs. Giving my life, to help save others is always a worthy thing.

If it happened the way it happened where democratically they chose to try to overpower their captures I couldn't be prouder.
Imagine making a decision collectively that could result in your own deaths.
Chosing to go out like Lions instead of Lambs.
I so hope its true.
An especially difficult decision because the past precedent is that most hijackings usually land somewhere and you aren't likely to die.
The rules have changed now.

Just another indication that Americans will do what needs to be done when the chips are down and it's real.

Thanks for the links to the news story. True hereos indeed. May the rest in peace. As well as the other innocent people who lost their lives in yesterday's attacks.

A very touching story.

I bet the Terrorists planed to do all the crashings at the same time only because of this reason, they knew that if the passengers knew what's going on, they would have tried everything they could to stop the plane.

Anyone know yet of a fund for the families of the victims of this crash? It's obvious now that their actions saved hundreds if not thousands more lives and I think it may be a truly worthy donation to make...
