I am still not sure if Slyar was alive and fled or something took his body.

It could very well fit into the story that Hiro thought he killed Slyar but just assumed Slyar regenerated from killing the cheerleader. The cheerleader is appearing to be more of a red herring as more alternate timelines appear.

Question: Whoa! What an ending for Heroes! What's the word on that creepy guy who's worse than Sylar and freaks out Molly?? Antonio Lopez
Ausiello: We'll meet the big, bad bogeyman early next season, and word on the street is the role's already been cast.
 
this show is awesome. im watching it now. up to episode 12 now, first of the second part of season 1. this thread spoiled many things for me though 😛
 
yeah, a little late.

On the other hand, I think that the lone samurai in the teaser is Hiro's dad and his power is immortality/no dying of old age.
