Anyone else catch the easter egg? the item number on the sword was CRM-114
Explain?

Doesnt Peter have the power to cancel out others power? He was around the Hatain on the top of simone's dad's building...it seems he would have been able to cancel Sylars power.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CRM114

Upon reading the first couple sentences, my brain asploded, and my dain was bramaged.

The episodes aren't ready. They are still filming now. I'm assuming this is just a first season issue, when not knowing about renewal didn't allow a continuous season schedule.

i guess you guys have never followed a tv series before? every show on the major networks have a winter break & a spring break. it is the only way they can make 22 episodes last from august to may. it's either that or have 6+ months in between seasons.
The trend with the highly serialized shows is to be continuous. 24 already is, LOST will be next season. I'd bet Heroes will follow.

so 2 shows will be continuous by next season. doesn't really constitute a trend to me.

In my opinion, HBO really started this trend all off with shows like "The Sopranos". Not that it hasn't been done in the past, but the Sopranos seemed to be the first show that had the same quality as a movie and episodes lead into each other.

Since his character popped up in Heroes it's been bugging the heck out me who he was. His voice was very familiar, the different hair style through me off until last weeks episode when I realized it was "The Docotr".

Fern

I've only seen 3 episodes or so of that show and I thought he played doctor who.

The shapeshifter is more of a "reality shifter", not only can she change herself but her surroundings, pretty cool. I wonder if she can make herself even hotter? :Q

How do you know isn't doing so already? Maybe she's an ugly hunchback like in that old star trek episode and uses her powers to look like a hot babe.

it's just an extension of the old Mini Series. shoot, even Dallas was pretty much that same continuous soap opera style.

not new, been around for a lot longer than you guys are giving credit for.

I thought he just said "Without your scar"

Anyways, yeah I agree that's where it came from, I hope they just don't go "Oops" and forget he can heal himself, and explain why a scar stays

I am betting somehow having his brain scanned by Sylar made him somehow weakened and he only partially heals.

Its sort of plausible that the healing may be botched, at least partially for some reason. Claire's power is innate and automatic, I wonder if it works the same for peter...he seems to have to think about it. Perhaps he's so freaked out about getting his brain removed he doesn't use it right away? Maybe he some how gets knocked out during the fight, and isn't able to que up the power. He ends up in the hospital and heals the conventional way.

I like theory that in future hiro's own timeline, Peter doesn't save the cheerleader and thus doesn't have her power when he faces sylar. He survives the encounter, but it forever marked by it!

Its an interesting matchup...with that last hearing power advantage sylar picked up, Peter's invisibility will be of limited usefulness. Sylar should be able to literally use his ears to see.

@pingspike, don't forget peter has the power of voice. he could just generate an enormously loud sound and made sylar's head asplode :D

You bet I did, seems like he showed up in the same epsiode as Sulu. With Dr Who and Star Trek involved how can the Heros lose.... But now it is not clear which side they are on!

Perhaps that teaser "this is the part where most people scream" is a bit of irony ;)

About 3/4 through watching the last episode on dvr; wow. So far it's about 10 for the bad boys and 0 in favor of the good guys. Definitely getting tense.

Ok just finished. Way unfair stopping the episode like that and going 6-7 wekks till the next one.

Based on what we know about Sylar's power, he cannot gain Peter's "dormant" powers, because they are not his own. Think of Sylar as a computer, he goes in and steals hardware from other computers, but Peter has a special piece of hardware that lets him emulate others via uber encrypted images. Sylar cannot get these uber encrypted images, he can only "take" the emulation hardware.

sylar can steal peter's ability to manipulate other heroes' powers (which is different from the way sylar actually copies heroes' powers).

on another note, i'm wondering why peter screamed when he was getting cut by sylar. he didn't scream when the invisible dude threw him down the building and he hit the cab (or when he fell off the building when saving claire, etc.).

free falling is not painful, someone lopping off the top of your head is.

I just watched all of the seasons in two nights...it's so addicting, but its so nice watching it without commercials or having to wait a week for the next episode.

Haha I do that will all new shows! I let them run for a season or 2 and then watch it all in one go, its almost sensory overload but I love it!
