Well she can create fire. One would assume she wouldn't be harmed by it.

I would assume she could get shot and stabbed still

Am I the only one that saw that the license plate of George Takai, Hiro's Father was NCC 1701. The registy number of the USS Enterprise, the ship that George Takai was on as Sulu. Was I?

What I mean is, is she like claire plus fire, or just fire and fire immune but no self healing? I'm betting the latter.

No, I caught that too. Cool easter egg.

The Haitian told Claire that he knew nothing about or that Mr. Bennet said nothing about Claire's real dad. Mr. Bennet not knowing about Nathan's powers explains why Nathan was able to fly away in Vegas. Nathan sure is one hound dog, bedding at least two HEROES, begetting the hot Claire with the 'hot' MILF HERO. This means that Peter saved the life of his neice, Claire, who's ability in turn saved him atop the yellow cab.

Hiro may still have a tough time getting that sword from Linderman unless it was part of his deal to stay in America and save the world. This after he has honored his family by saving his family business by showing his father that his sister is the 'rightful' heir.

Linderman must have some plans for the 'doublemint twins'. But is seems like a lot of trouble to get her out of jail just to have Niki-Jessica toss the slow thinking cop out of a window in next week's episode. Is it only TV and movie cops who point guns while standing within arm's distance of suspects?

Several reference to the rooftop pigeons. Are the HEROES like these birds and always returning home to the same site?

The latter.

PLEASE kill off Nikki/Jessica. So incredibly stupid and annoying. Enough already!

*edit* Oh yeah, and don't forgot to kill off the son Micah as well.

if peter got near sylar then he should have ALL of sylar's powers too!!

oh yeah and kill off that stupid nikki plotline, its still so stupid

That was probably the best episode thus far, I feel.

Peter is turning into quite the character.

Edit: And without having read most of the thread, it's my prediction that Claire's father is at least a part of Linderman's organization

😕 We know who Claire's father is ...

I'm intrigued by the Nikki/Jessica subplot. I'm still waiting for her character to be intertwined with the rest.

Question:

Sylar - Why is he hell-bent on getting Claire? You would think for the amazing regenerative powers right? But why? Let's examine this flaw in the plot shall we:

Sylar scuffles with Peter at the high school, falls off the top of whatever, and miraculously walks away.
Sylar gets medicated to the point of death, and miraculously "walks away".
Sylar gets shot at least twice by Bennett, and miraculously "walks away".

Each time, even though apparently hurt, Sylar comes out pretty much unscathed (other than the haircut). So WHY does he want Claire's powers? It appears he already has them or some form of them.

i think the way to explain that is he wants to be "special" -- ie, he wants to be the only person with special abilities. notice every time he has taken a power from someone else he has killed them. everyone assumes that he *has* to kill them to get their powers, but maybe he just does that so that he will be unique. if you recall the "6 months ago" episode, he was obsessed with being special.

My guess is that Claire will play (or is destined to play) a larger role in stopping some nefarious plot down the road. I think Sylar wants to kill Claire to remove her from the equation rather than to absorb her powers. I also think that's why Bennett and his organization seem centered around protecting Claire.

I like this theory also.

I believe when he fell off the high school, he fell on top of Peter, hence why he didn't die. But you saw him limping away with all the blood, which shows that he is most definitely not a regenerator. Claire's ability would literally put him a step up by allowing him to be practically immortal.

One way I look at the Sylar and Peter situation is that Sylar = Death, Peter = Life. They're the perfect anti-thesis of each other and it's almost obvious what we're going to have happen. The concept of calling Peter "Life" may seem odd, but when comparing how they attain other people's powers, Sylar has to kill them and (what I presume) study their brains, but Peter doesn't have to kill anyone to gain their power.

If Peter can also get Hiro's power, then he can get any other power he wants, regardless of whether or not Sylar got to them first (since he can just go back before Sylar got there and meet them).

Oh and the mother was most likely the cause of the fire (not being able to control her powers like she can now), so that could be part of how she survived. Also, there's no saying that someone (i.e. Nathan flying "in the face of danger") could've saved her.

Oh and Nikki needs to start up the webcam business some more :Q.

Sylar's power is understanding how things work. He does so by taking their brain and what I presume studying it. Who knows, he may have to eat it or something crazy like that 😛.

That was a great episode last night 🙂

Does anyone else have a problem reading some of the subtitles when they're speaking Japanese? Seems like the white lettering blends in with the sometimes light colored background.
