so who has the number???

got it: mt36

so is that a real website or made up by Heroes??
has anyone called the phone number??

it's a heroes website. you get that passcode when you call.

from what i've read, it's going to be similar to the "lost experience" though i don't watch lost so i don't really follow their ARGs. if you read the 9th Wonder boards, there are hyper-obsessive fans there that are cracking/doing everything to get further into it. kind of funny to see how engrossed in the alternate reality some of them can get :)

I already claimed Claire in my 'what jailbait actress would you hook up with" thread that I started.

but this is the *official* heroes thread more or less... any claims to hot jailbait actresses within the show must be made here first ;)

How do the stations estimate the age of viewers?

Neilson ratings. I was part of this once. They install some devices that monitor you A/V gear and send to them the signal of what you are watching (in the past you just filled out a survey which was highly inaccurate)...

They can be messed up by people who leave channels on all the time.

does it account for TIVO recordings? Or downloads via nbc's site or itunes (I bought a subscription on itunes.. wanted to support the show)? I wonder how it stacks up after all those are taken into consideration.

I really wish they would do away with the Neilson ratings. It is really outdated. It needs to account for people who can now watch two shows that appear at the same time. It needs to account for people who are now able to watch shows that couldn't watch it before DVR's. It needs to account for people who watch shows but for some reason must watch it on their PC or media device (ie iPod). It needs to account for the fact that alot of people don't watch their tv shows live anymore. There are so many changes that Neilson rating is far behind on.

Good show, good episode.

BTW - can we do a seperate thread for each episode similar to the way LOST is done here? This sorting through 66 pages kind of stinks.

Seems like a much better way to do it, now that we know the show is going to get at least 1 full season.

It does account for these things...however; Neilsen is designed to determine mostly where advertising is placed...as such they know people that delay watching a show, usally FF through ads/commercials.

I was part of Neilsen until last year. It was interesting, but if you change equipment a lot a PITA.

also in case you didn't know >> inside a thread = LAST

Check out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heroes_%28TV_series%29 and you can find episode discussions, esp on Kring's (the writer) site http://www.9thwonders.com/

Also to other's the new character's name is not Wireless, it's Hana. Wireless is her ability. I am sure some here will want her to come over and help with their connectivity.

from herosite.net:

Monday Night Ratings Update: Heroes Teleports Past 24
Updates on the Monday night at 9 ratings race are continuing to be updated, and it seems that at the end of the day - especially in the coveted 18-49 age group - Heroes has prevailed.

Heroes scored a 6.5 rating/15 share among the 18-49 group; 24 ended up with a 5.4. Ultimately, "Godsend" ended up with 14.8 million viewers compared to the 14.4 for 24.

take that, jack bauer!
