with Sylar's powers, Peter would have to know he had them before he could use them.
With the rush of running away from Sylar, and worrying about his own death, I'm sure it just didn't cross his mind ;)

It's official, my patience for this show just ran out.
I love most of the characters, and the plot is really cool, but I want to know more than what they leave us with at the end of every episode.

I'll just clump a few episodes together at a time, or just wait 'till the end of the season, and watch 'em all at once.
Take care guys, it's been fun :)

why would that billionaire in las vegas buy a painting of peter dead in front of a prom at a certain time? lol.

furthermore, he only needed a fricken picture of the painting which all serious painters have of their work.

also, Hiro seems to be able to fix all of this... he just seems to be a total vag and girly. He has the best powers imho.

I disagree. I think Eden has the best powers. If I had the power of suggestion, boy I'd be going out trying to find sexy babes to use my powers on :)

I don't think Sylar has underlings. He opened the other cheerleader's head just like the girl in the diner (who was using a can opener to open a can at the time.) Anyone get a bad feeling that those two (Mr. Bennet's assistants) just might be bad guys? I don't think they're going to kill him as per Mr. Bennet's instructions and the "Sylar" case can't just end for the cop.

Future Hiro mentioned a scar on Peter but that must happen when he doesn't have Claire's power.

This is BS. I was hoping to find out why they had to save the cheerleader to save the world. That's what the previews said that we would find out. No new information was revealed in this episode, just a lot of action.

I'm guessing he did and that's how he's going to escape from the police.

But he can only use them when he is around other people with powers right?

All week they've been hyping that the heros would finally get together to "save the cheerleader" & all that really happened was Peter told her to run away from Syler. Kind of a letdown in that respect.

You must be a LOST fan, huh?

It could be worse... At the rate Jericho is progressing, I think that they're trying the stretch the plot line out into the next decade :(

yeah i wish they would just show us what is going on in Jericho also...

But I really wish they would tell us why the cheerleader is so important. The good news is it looks like they are going to show us a little bit about sylar next week, hopefully they will leave out the split personality chick again, these last 2 weeks have been good in that respect.

I bet in the next episode the cops bring in the guy who was shot by his wife and peter absorbs his powers and they escape...

just thinking out loud

Agreed. The episode was just more bullsh*t. They're spoon feeding viewers micro details at a time, and it's really grating on my patience. To make matters worse, they're whoring the show for commercials. They're practically splicing commercials in between every two lines of dialog. It was fscking ridiculous last night.

They did advance things a bit, but not NEARLY as much as the previews would have led you to believe. I'm really starting to think that this should have been a miniseries instead. That way the story could have been told at a reasonable pace without having to resort to the absolute nonsense they've had to in order to stretch this cash cow out.

ABC does the same thing with LOST, and that's pretty much why I stopped watching. I was sick of entire episodes that resolved tiny details.

I'll give Heroes the same chance I gave LOST. I'm not going to watch it live anymore and I'll see if it's more tolerable when I time-shift it. I'm betting it will be. I'd really like to see this whole "atomic bomb in New York" storyline resolved this season, with next season being less serial.

I'm giving them one more week. Last week they told me "your questions will be answered", and that was a lie. They said the same thing last night, so we'll see. If they don't deliver next week... and I mean DELIVER, then I'm done. I won't even DVR this garbage any more. It's not worth the time. I have every episode on DVR right now, and if I were to go trim the fat from this steak, there'd be about two hours of quality material.

I feel fortunate to not actually have seen any commercials for it so I'm not as annoyed as some of you seem to be.

All I'm getting from this show at this point is that if you have all of them together then Peter is pretty much an unstoppable bada$$.

One question though, if Peter is able to fly when near his brother, at what distance does he lose this power? Also, since none of the others can fly, would this not make the power pretty much worthless?

You're absolutely right. There was a promo a few weeks ago saying that "in the next few weeks, you'll know what side this guy (cue picture of HRG) is on" and we still don't know. It appears he's on the side of good, but it could just be a bad guy trying to protect his daughter to further his own goals.

ABC did the same "all your questions will be answered" BS promos for LOST which is one of the reasons I quit watching. The episode would answer one question poorly, then bring up a bunch more.

Maybe I just don't have the attention span for these serial type shows. I like CSI and House, where there's some resolution in the episode and there's usually a side plot spanning several episodes that eventually gets resolved.

Maybe he retains the power for a length of time. Last night's episode he came in contact with the cheerleader before he fell and twisted himself up. Had he fallen before being close to her, he would already have been injured/dead before she ran down to him.

I think the writers goofed a tiny bit. That bad guy, whatever his name is (this was only the 2nd episode I saw), landed on him, so he was in contact. After he straightened himself up thanks to the girl's healing powers, should have used the telekinesis powers he absorbed from him. It just would have been a cool highlight.

In an earlier episode, after first meeting Isaac, Peter drew a picture of himself flying in his brother's presence. When he drew the picture, he wasn't near Isaac and I believe some time had passed (I'm thinking hours).

Maybe the longer Peter is around a hero, the longer he can absorb his/her power.

My only gripe is that I wish the double personality chic would die. I can't stand her character or story line. Especially since they spend so much time on her on previous episodes. Mohinder (I know I spelled it wrong) is on the borderline since his character is not funny and is not developing fast enough to where he is actually doing anything important.
