You know, I've actually been very good about not going on the Internet, I only look at things that my publicist and my friends send me, although I did see this one thing that my publicist sent me, I went online and it said, "oh my god, Hiro Nakamura, I love him so much. I want to make him my pet. I want to lock him up, talk to him, kiss him, I want to make him literally my pet." You know what, as long as they feed me, I'm all for it.

I love stars with a sense of humour.

In this episode, we learn that Hiro cannot change fate. Charlie had a brain clot and was going to pass anyway so his whole reason for transporting back was worthless. I kinda feel for him and I really liked Charlie's character more than Jessica/Nikki/Nicole .. I really hope she is gone in the next episode, but I have an eerie feeling that its going to be Ando..

I don't think we actually she her get killed/head opened. Wasn't it all off-screen? She may have died at that moment Slyar came upon her coincidentally.

I don't think Sylar is the villain, he has no motive to blow up NYC. Besides, it would make everything too easy, since he was easily subdued by the Haitian and Eden.

Remember he just fell off a building at the time too...probably a bit fuxored already.

My only question is this. He can chop their heads open and see what their "powers" are, but how does he do it so fast?

And how does he cut their heads open without touching them? Is that a power he got beforehand?
Yeah, seriously, they need to do a better job of explaining this. I mean, it took him 7 years to fix a damn wristwatch, but he can see mutations in the brain no problem?

He can't see their powers...he finds out about them and hunts them down. He has learned that devouring their brains passes the power to him.

I don't think he's eating their brains. Right before he killed Brian they showed that he could see what was wrong with Brian's brain. Like Dacalo said earlier, it seems that Sylar kills them to get a better look at their brains and then is able to mimic their power.

I think Sylar's reasoning behind it is to be more than just a watchmaker, but he ends up taking it too far, and probably becomes obsessed with gaining new powers.

You're right...I thought what other's meant above is he was just looking at the person then knowing they had powers. Thinking about the watch making, it makes sense...he even opens them up like you would a watch.

Are we sure it was actually Sylar that did Claire in? She could have just had her fated aneuyrism getting peaches and died.

One thing is for sure Hiro is moving more towards future Hiro quickly.

I assume you mean Charlie. Yes, I am pretty sure Hiro saw her body and said she had been killed the same way Isaac had in the future.

Please someone explain about this crazy time travel crap. I kinda have any idea about it but my buddy saids that the way they did the time travel was way off. When hiro went to save that waitress from being killed by sylar he said that she should of remembered who hiro was when he went back. Even though he went back to far she should of know who he was. He said it has to with the way time travels (linear). He said something about paradox and what not. I thought he went back to far so that's why she couldn't remember who he was. My buddy was saying that since they met in the future already she should of know who he was when he went back in time. Can anyone clear this up for me?

It has to do mainly with since there is no time travel possible currently, a writer can make up whatever rules they want.

There are a few theories. Some say you can't affect time by going back as things have already happened in the future...however IMHO just going back and showing up somewhere would have an affect.

That is sort of the 'ripple' theory that each event becomes larger as time move on.

There is a bit of a paradox in the waitress story as she mentions getting the book from presumably Hiro in the past, but doesn't remember him. I am not sure if the picture in the diner existed though prior to him going back in time.

I'd haveta agree with you. As I wrote earlier: "I can't resolve the present day interaction between the waitress and Hiro. Surely she should recognize him as someone she meet 6 months ago. Did he reveal her fate to her in the past and she just pretended not to know him?"

Recall that when they meet in the present, she said someone gave her the Japanese book 6 months ago. Her last words in the past to Hiro were: "You have made me feel more alive and more full of joy that I could have ever imagined. Hiro, I love you." On returning to the present Hiro told his buddy he made several attempts to save her but to no avail. The simplest explaination is that he told Charlie in the past and she pretended not to know him in the present and just wanted to spend more time with Hiro.

I don't know that Sylar actually devours brains. I am thinking he does some sort of dissection on them to get an idea of how they are wired. Then he preforms the mental changes to himself.

I belive that he simply changed the future. They are basing time travel off of the Back to the Future method. Where a change in the past changes the future. Instead of A change in the past has always occured.

What I noticed was that no police asked about Hiro leaving (remeber that the police told them not to leave, because they needed to take their statements).. The reason, I belive, is that Sylar didnt kill her.

Waitress dies by Sylar->Hiro goes back in time->Waitress doesn't die by Sylar but she does die from the anyurism(sp). So shes still dead in the future but Anton(?) never asked how she died again so he never found out. And that explains why the police never inquired about Hiro.

Yea, but that still doesn't explain how Charlie did not manage to recognize Hiro (maybe chose not, but unlikely) but she had the Japanese language book from 6 months ago. Besides, there was a scene from two episodes ago where it showed Charlie by herself infront of the birthday cake (after she dies from Sylar, so she has already told Hiro about the book) from six months ago, but the picture changed to the one with Hiro as Ando was walking around, waiting.

While I agree with you about Charlie not being killed by Sylar, it doesn't make sense logically. Well, the whole thing about time travelling doesn't make sense I suppose.

was Hiro stuck back in time when he couldn't time travel/teleport that last time?

if so, did he have to wait out the remainder time, and was that why we saw him take a taxi to the cafe?

will he get his powers back?
