HEROES!

This is for the fans of the show HERO. This past episode "6 months ago" talked about each of the characters past. This one is about hiro. When he went back in time to save that chick (the waitress from the diner in texas) from getting killed by sylar, shouldn't that girl noticed who was hiro? My buddy was saying how time travel works. He said that the girl should of have know who was hiro because they already met. I'm a little confused myself. If you guys are startrek fans then maybe you can explain it better. Im a trekki my self LOL. I thought she didnt' remember him because he went to far back. But from what I understand time travel doesn't work like that. It's linear. She had to know who he was. MY buddy said it's a paradox and it's impossible that she couldn't have know who hiro was when he traveled back. Since he traveled back in time and nothing changed she should of know who he was. Sorry if this isnt making any sense but i'll talk to my buddy again to make things more clear. If someone does understand what i'm talking about please explain it to me where it would make some kind of sense. I have a idea, but i want to be more clear about it.

I don't really watch TV anymore so I don't know anything about that series. I am pretty familiar with some of the Star Trek series though
