OK...so did you like Heroes of Might and Magic, Heroes of Might and Magic 2, Heroes of Might and Magic 3, or Heroes of Might and Magic 4? Then get ready because here comes Heroes of Might and Magic 5! YESSSSSS!!!!!!!!

Preorder for $19.99. Apply TCADVCBN for 10% off so then it comes down to $17.99. 🙂

Preorder

Yeah thats a pretty hot preorder price. Just realize that you wont be getting it for a while. Release date has been pushed back, the publisher webpage shows march now. That probably means May or July in reality. Previously it read Feb 21st. Funny enough, amazon doesn't match either of those dates, showing yet again that retailers and online shops pull dates out of thier butts.

You guys make me want to go back and actually finish homm 4, I never did 🙂 Now that I think of it I dont think I finished all the campaign stuff in homm 3 either.

$20 is a good price, but what if it's just as bad as homm4?

Quoted from this month's Computers Games mag HOMM5 preview, "Even in its pre-release state, the game looks and plays like a letter-perfect recreation of the beloved Heroes III..."🙂

I guess that's a good thing then... but if so, why shouldn't I just save my money and keep playing III?

Updates, new campaigns, etc?

I recently finished playing HOMM2 over again, and am currently replaying HOMM3.

I didn't even know they were planning a HOMM5!

$18 isn't too bad 😛 After the disaster of homm4, I'm glad they decided to go back to the style of 3

I played 2 and 3 both were excellent.
Never played 4, but was it really that bad? If so, I'll wait for reviews on this one. There might be a very god reason why it's starting at only $20.

It is after Christmas shopping. 🙁 I guess it's a good thing I'll have a few more months to pay everything off and save up. 😀

I played II , III & IV, II had sucky graohics and IV was nothing like HOMM the gameplay sucked and to be honest the 2D in III rocks, I am going to wait for reviews about V 😉

I hope Ubisoft does a better job than 3DO did with IV.
Looking forward to seeing it, but I'll wait for a demo.

Same price directly on Target's site (Linky)

Release date posted as Feb 3 rather than 28th, which of course may mean nothing. Any thoughts as to whether it's better to order via Amazon link or direct from Target? Either way gets charged shipping...

Ubisoft is only the publisher; Nival Interactive is the developer.
From their track record with TBS' so far, I've no doubt that it'll be great! 😀

Heroes III is the most addicting game I have EVER played.

Long after DukeNukem, Quake, Half-Life, Age of Empires, Unreal, Battlefield1942 et. al. have had their spot on my PC, HOMM III still resurrects itself over and over to consume me.
LOL

I feel excited to hear of a newer offering of the same gameplay.
