This is my very first post on this forum so please excuse any irritants.

I've been recently diagnosed with a serious disc herniation at T6 -T7 with a comprimised spinal cord. I've been told this is a very unusual location and very risky. I am seeing a very well known, well respected Neurosurgeon who has advised that surgery is pretty much the only option for complete fix, however; it's very risky.

Please advise if you have any experience with this dilemma....

Let me mention, I had a fusion of L5 -S1 back in 2005 which resulted in a non-union:( However, my activity level after that surgery has increased tremendously....started playing tennis in '08 and play 4-5 times/week (until recently).

Any advise, suggestions, recommendations welcome...

I've never had a herniated disc before, but I've read that Vitamin C deficiency is a leading cause of that condition, and that large quantities of the vitamin can reverse it.

Have you ever been diagnosed with Vitamin C deficiency?
