25mg's of Percocet + a 12 pack of Coors Light daily, when combined with a 12-15mm herniated disc, results in diabolical consipation. Discuss.

Edit: Pour spelling skills.

IIRC Perocet gives you consti....at least that's what a nurse told me when my aunt had surgery years ago...

Fiber + patience

OR

Deconsi +about 30ns

OR

What he said. Any painkiller worth a crap slows paristalsys to a crawl.......😛

Take stool softeners and fiber taken right along with the pain pills.

In addition to the stool softeners, lots of fresh fruit like dates, prunes, and other high-fiber fruit will help to loosen things up a bit...Also, a bit of MOM (Milk of Magnesia)can help loosen things up when you're all bound up. (I went through a bit of this 3 years ago with my knee surgery.)
On the other topic of washing the percocets down with a beer...BE VERY CAREFUL..percocet is made with acetominophen (tylenol) and THAT doesn't mix well with alcohol. If you want to take them with a brew, ask your doctor for percodan...that's made with aspirin...and has less complications when mixed with alcohol.
The combination of the 2 can be dangerous enough by itself, let alone to throw in the possible liver damage from alcohol and acetominiphen:
