Anyone played this before? It looks like a combat-oriented Settlers game. I remember liking an early version of the settlers games.

not sure if this is worth 7 bucks...sounds like it might be somewhat short, little replay: "20 mission campaign;" unless there is a regular free play option.

I got this one awhile back and didn't really care for it. I played the one after that (the 6th one Something Reign or Reign something?) and I loved it but it was more building than combat although there was a good bit of combat.

Settlers 7 is a lot like 6 in that it is mostly building but I think the enemies are more aggressive so you have to build up some defense.

Man I hate these sales! There a few games on that list I never played, Farcry, Hero's of Might and Magic, Panzer General, Rainbow Six, etc, etc...

Problem is I have a bunch I've bought off of Steam that I now have and still haven't played. Bah, why can't I be 17 again living at home with no job

It's a lot of fun - I purchased a hard copy on ebay for about $10 - which included the expansion.

There is a demo available via searching google [numerous download sites]

Settlers 2 is also there and the description says 'most say it's the best one'.

gah, should have looked for the demo earlier. sale ends today, and I won't have time to try out a demo. will be away most of the day/evening.

oh well, just another damn game that will, in the end, make my life no better or worse (well, worse, most likely).
