CM7 is based on the 2.3.3 (Gingerbread) release of Android from Google. We’ve added most of the great features from CM6 you know and love, and many new ones including support for several tablets. We are currently providing support for 30 devices! I continue to be amazed with this community and the dedication of everyone involved. It’s a neverending work-in-progress so if you find a problem, please let us know on our issue tracker. There are a few CM6 features that aren’t part of CM7 yet, but they are in the queue for 7.1 already.

Loving it on my Incredible. Not sure what they changed, but I can run animated wallpapers without the horrible lag now!

Just flashed this over nightly #35. I may do a full wipe tomorrow just for the heck of it since my phone has been through quite a few nightlies :p

Running great so far. No GPS fix needed. Locked on indoors in about 1 sec with a 20m accuracy. Not bad of being inside an apartment complex.
Huge effort if you think about the little and big things that adds up. 12 devices, and I am only familiar with one device and I am blown away.
For example, the GPS I just mentioned. The wiki stated the HTC software is garbage, and poorly coded. So they built it from scratch.
Testing WiMax tomorrow. I have a great signal anywhere in OC except from deep indoors. My workplace gets a 5-8 download...looking forward to testing that out.

Previous nagging complaints are gone. Had a weird issue with the Android/Cool Iris gallery thumbnail cache. That is totally gone. But that isn't exclusive to CM or any custom ROM.
Tested each folder, and it's fast for previewing. Fastest preview thumbnail previews I have seen yet. Finally get to see what a class 10 SD card can do in a phone.

PSA. For Titanium users (or similar app), do not restore the app from backup. Let the Market download them, then restore data only.
Restoring app+data from backup will make widgets disappear each time you reboot. (from that respective program)

That's gonna suck :/ Does CM7 final support AppBrain and FastWeb Installer? Should ease the pain a bit, though I probably still have to manually move apps to the SD card.

I have CM 7 RC3 on my Incredible. In the final, did they put back in "Turn over to silence"? I sure miss that, and don't see it in the changelog....

Still waiting on my contract to end before I root the Droid.
I may use a cheap Virgin Mobile phone to tether.

As far as the big issues go...yes. 4G, GPS, seems reliable.

One nagging problem is youtube. It has an odd stuttering problem. I'm sure a fix is on the way if it there isn't a work around already.

Weird getting used to stock Android again.

Oddly, the Youtube app flickering happens on "normal" youtube videos, but doesn't seem to affect Vevo videos.

Now that they've got LTE working on the TB on their test builds, this is going to be awesome when they have an official release for it.
