ok for those whining about how the radeon 8500 isnt working correctly with the latest 4-in-1 drivers all i will say is duh.
I have never once had it install the new version of the agp drivers so that defeats the purpose of the all in one to begin with.
ok the drivers slow down hard disk performance by increasing buffer size which fixes stability problems that some people may have but makes anything else you do pure hell.
if you really want to fix your 8500 problems here is the only way to go
format and reinstall xp from scratch.....use the default vga adapter settings
ok then download the via agp gart driver from here
Heres the agp gart driver from via
install that then reboot then install the 6011 drivers and reboot and there you have it....the best performance you are going to get out of your radeon 8500 until the next driver set comes out.
so the next person that posts and whines about the stupid 4-in-1s i will personally slap
