The woman and I will be on NASA property in the VIP section for one of the next two launches. Above is a pic I took last week from the VIP area. Can't wait to see the launch.

🙂

Is it just me or does that seem farther away than the location news crews show people watching? Either way, thats pretty cool you get to see a launch...in a VIP area no less.

If you don't mind me asking, how'd you get in the VIP section?

My neighbor is an astronaut and will be on one of the next two missions.

Wow, that's awesome. I wish him luck, and hopefully we can get the shuttle fleet back up and running (safely) ASAP.

I'm guessing camera zoom makes it appear much closer.
