Oh, people around here are quite used to it, as evidenced by the sheer amount of fire he draws whenever he goes off on one of these little sprees. They know how this works perfectly well, it's Alky who does not seem to have a clue.
I tried to explain this at the start, but it seems I was overlooked (as usual) so I will try again. Think of the situation as this; you have a sharp, pointy stick, a live rabbit and a dead rabbit. Poke the dead rabbit and it does nothing but lie there, any movement being provided by the stick. This will grow old fast and you'll lose interest. Now, give the live one a poke and it'll scream and jump and twitch and kick and have all kinds of other entertaining hysterics for a time. Eventually it'll get over things and stop though. But, since it was so entertaining the first time you administer another poke in the hopes that it will do so again. And it does. This will likely continue until the rabbit gets a clue and stops twitching or dies of fright, exhaustion, and pain. Alky's problem is that he's still twitching and screaming and generally acting as a good source of entertainment for the meaner elements (and those who don't like to see crap like that) of the forum. If he didn't take things to the extreme he does (this thread for instance) people wouldn't care nearly as much about him.
And no, the animal cruelty analogy isn't speaking about you directly, but about the perverse inner child/bully we all have that derives pleasure from such situations.
