I love my FOP38 and the noise only gives me mild tinitus rather than the severe type from a rock concert.....j/k1 But anyway what I was thinking was in I attached another fan on the side of the fins sucking air would that help cool the cpu more? It would add noise I guess ...

If you buy two quiet fans than it will perform like your loud a$$ fan. If you don't got the cash then buy a cheap 60mm fan and attach it on the heatsink. I'm pretty sure your loud fan will cover the noise of the other fan.🙂
 
will it really provide more airflow over the fins though? Mikewarrior where are you?
