Here's an Idea: AT DVC forum - meet and photography outing...

Lets have a meet and greet in So.cal sometime end of march/april. If we got enough photographers in teh So.Cal area.

Agenda:

Meet, eat, and go out hiking and photo session.

Areas of interest: (taking more suggestions) -- Since it seems we dont have too many so.cal ppl lets try any place.. mid continent will be fine..

Joshua Tree National Forest/Park
Avalon, Catalina Island
Belmont Shores
BigBear
Death Valley

Then after we are done, people bring their photos to AT and we vote for the best photographs.

Categories:
No photoshop (resize/crop is okay)
Photoshopped (low,medium and high)

So what does everyone say???

I'm not on the other side of the country (I'm in Utah) and that sounds like a great idea, but I wouldn't be able to join you then. 🙁

Actually maybe we can do mid continent.. if we plan ahead
i would be down for Utah's Moab valley and stuff.. I am always down.. consider it a vacation and an experience.

sounds interesting. Definitely has to be a weekend thing though.

obviously i was thinking weekend thing..

we could do end of may - memorial day if need be.. its a 3 day weekend..

I'm at college on the east coast, but home is in SoCal. Not to mention I don't have a car at college. 😕

Some Suggestions:

Utah:

Arches
Canyonlands
Zion
Bryce

Colorado:

Rocky Mountain NP
Black Canyon of the Gunnison
Great Sand Dunes NP

Wyoming:

Grand Tetons
Yellowstone

There's lots of other places, but those are just some of the more well known parks.

I'm in the San Francisco bay area. I'd like to join in if I'm not already busy. I'm a college kid too so I don't have much of a budget but I could do So.Cal or maybe one of the Midwest locations. My Memorial day weekend is full already (scuba diving!) but other than that I would do my best to make it to anything given enough warning.

I'm very up in the air, so don't make plans around me though!

nvm i found google 😉

LOL....

cant you still enter a bar? 😉

never tried

I'm also from CA, alfa. You can legally enter a bar, but cannot be within 6 feet of the alcohol-serving counter. Most clubs are 18+, though. I'm under 21, but in college, so that doesn't really matter when I'm on campus. 😛

Good... because I could get on my bicycle to come beat you up or tell your parents... 😉

For alfa147x's benefit - An East Coast destination is Smoky Mountain National Park (about 3 hrs from his house) and the Blue Ridge Parkway.

You So Cals need to get out more... Carmel area will blow you away for material.
