It's not an image; I did try using Pearl Crescent to save the page. It wasn't able to do it - the image was cropped at 32767 pixels wide, which made it a little bit past Mercury's orbit. 😀

No, Venus and Earth are very nearly the same size, with Venus being about 5% smaller then Earth. Mars is a good bit smaller then either. I think you had Mars and Venus confused.

Venus IS smaller. Just barely, but it is smaller.

Mostly because we keep slashing funding for space exploration and we keep having to justify the need for it to idiots. 😛

Course, if you're Chinese or Russian, you might make it to Mars. Just don't be on the first couple of space craft, you might 'disappear' en route. 😛
