how fast can an f1 car do 1/4 mile?

That's what I was thinking also. Funny how we don't get any info about how fast F1 cars run...

It's not that odd, 1/4 mile times mean nothing for an F1 car, so why bother testing it? They don't get a fraction of their total traction from a stop, so why bother?

Non-drag race race cars have varying performance based on what track they're at. At a shorter track they'll have a steeper gear ratio which yeilds better accelleration but a lower top speed, because on a short track they'll never get to the top speed. On a longer track they'll use a tall ratio to get the top speed and sacrifice acceleration.

So for about 120k, you get to beat half million dollar cars.

Yeah, its a Corvette, and if you are for more show than go, something else might suit you better. But since I would be looking for performance in this price range (which thankfully I am not- Ill stick to the Passat) the added bonus of having the fastest streetable car one is ever likely to see, much less own, has appeal.

maybe... but i'd still take a shiny red Ferrari.

chix0rs dig 'em more than 'vettes. you drive around town in a 'vette, any 'vette, and its like, "oh, there goes another corvette..." but a Ferrari turns heads.

and having driven one... I can honestly say I have never had a better experience behind the wheel of any other automobile. it's an extremely balanced, responsive, gratifying car to drive... even if you're only borrowing it from your neighbor for a day, you feel like a million bucks just driving the thing. Even without the full 180's you get from people...

Where the hell have you guys been ?

I was under the impression that everyone[/b] knew I drive "Da Bus".

I wanted a TDI engine but had no place to put the radiator 🙁

Twin turbo heh ?

Before engine swap = 0-60 39.5 seconds

After swap = 0-60 12.5 seconds

with twin turbo flat six = 0-60 BOOM, there goes the Corvair engine 😉

yeah but that's twice as much money. if you really wanted looks you'd get a gtr or even a silvia, pretty much any car not made over here that's RHD will attract mad looks
