"U2" has a concert that starts in 17 minutes and they must all cross a bridge to get there. All four men begin on the same side of the bridge. You must help them across to the other side. It is night. There is one flashlight. A maximum of two people can cross at one time. Any party who crosses, either 1 or 2 people, must have the flashlight with them. The flashlight must be walked back and forth, it cannot be thrown, etc. Each band member walks at a different speed. A pair must walk together at the rate of the slower man's pace :

Bono : 1 minute to cross
Edge : 2 minutes to cross
Adam : 5 minutes to cross
Larry : 10 minutes to cross
 
i don't consider how that's possible seeing as how larry + adam + edge alone will take up 17 minutes

the best i could come up with was 19, with bono making every walk

Ok, how about Bono and Edge first cross and Bono comes back. 3 minutes has gone by.

Next Bono and Adam cross and Bono goes back. 6 more minutes has gone by.

Next Bono walks Larry across, but 1/3 the way across Bono leaves Larry in the dust. After Bono gets to the other side, they cut the bridge and drawn the slow m#tha f#@ker

I would offer them a ride and we'll go around the bridge faster than anyone of them can walk.
 
First, U2 fargin sucks. Second, here's the answer:

Bono and Edge cross (2 min)
Bono returns(1 min)
Adam and Larry cross (10 min)
Edge returns (2 min)
Bono and Edge cross (2 min)

There might be other ways, but Larry and Adam have to cross together.

 
OK, War was a good album. But everything since has been bad, plus Bono needs to be shot. Whenever he starts whining about how America should forgive foreign debt my left eye starts twitching. Note to Bono: Nobody cares about your politics. Just get up on stage and be a good little circus monkey, and maybe I'll forget the whole Zooropa thing.
