Here's 1 Reason why not to get a WINDOW for your case...

I was just thinking... it gets kinda nasty in your case, why would you want to see that dusty sh*t!? :Q
Hah, seriously though, with a window must come lots of required maintenance! If you want to keep it nice and pretty, you probably have to dust that thing out regularly; like every two weeks or so... who wants to do that!?

Yep, I'm fussy and I want to see in so I can clean it.

If you have good airflow management and dust isn't a problem, its not a big deal. windows only need a quick swipe to be cleaned

Yup, it's a good reminder to dust my case.

I've gotten in the habit of that after seeing a fat dust ball being slung around by my CPU fan one day. I'd hate to see what some people's cases look like if they have had it for years and haven't even opened the case panel.

I'm in and out of my systems so much, I don't even bother with putting the thumbscrews on the side panels!

Seriously, it's not so bad, and it reminds you that things need a "lick and a promise" every couple of weeks!

I am, the inside of my computers look like they came from Voodoo or Falcon-Northwest. I don't play when it comes to the neatness of the inside of a compter, with a window or without a window. And there are plenty of filters to go around :)

I have very little dust inside my windowed cases. Quality filters on all intake fans keep dust way down, plus as was mentioned earlier, proper airflow is a big help. I only have a dust problem when I work often inside my case and sometimes leave the PC running without the window, as taking off and replacing the side is a pain sometimes, and then a quick spray with a can of compressed air.

Now, the girlfriends Compaq is another story all together. Dust bunnies no... More like dust mammoths requiring me to open the box at least once a month to keep things cool and clean.

Yeah, good filters work wonders - I swear I pull half of my cat out of my filter every time I clean it out. Case interior looks decent, though. Not quite good enough to show off with pics, but definitely not enough to gross me out when I walk by.

I think the other half of your cat is in my pc !! :D

We have four cats and if I didn't open up my case every six months for a thorough cleaning, I would burn up a lotta case fans.

I have a pc here at work, a compaq 100mhz, that was NEVER opened! It was on 24/7 and was getting old so I replaced it. You would not believe the amount of crud that was in that case. The CPU fan had so much junk around it that it just kinda fused itself and would not spin. I could not even force it to spin. There was also a HUGE clump of dust in the botton corner. Man I wished I would have taken pictures. It was terrible!

I found a dead baby mouse in our old PC at work it was never cleaned for years untill it would not start due to a dead PSU... I needed a chisel to get everything out then vacuum it...

I got a window with a blowhole in it that has a screen so I just clean it everyweek since I to have a cat.

My boss (who is a serious smoker) brought in his case so I could install a NIC, OMG, his CPU fan looked like the proverbial sh1t had hit it, it took me ten minutes just to get all the nasty gunk off of it (I can't imagine what his apartment must look like)

You should clean it out once in a while anyway, I recently found a good sized lizard in one of my PCs recently. Also it's good to keep the fans clean to prolong their life.
