IIRC Sears has recently warned that they may not be in business much longer. This failure of their Canadian component is not a surprise.

Funny how worried we are about 70,000 coal jobs when the entire retail sector, which employs millions, is cratering.

Each job we lose adds to the cumulative loss and the people who are affected suffer the most. Funny how the republicans say they care about people but don't want to fund education that would allow them to obtain the ability to move to better work.

Sears is doomed as its a challenging market for B&M stores regardless of who their CEO is and their CEO is worse than most. Not only has Lambert been bestowed with the title "Most hated CEO (by employees)" but he had made a series of terrible decisions. It's tough to tell if he's incompetent or shrewdly (in an evil sort of way) collapsing sears to squeeze all the money he can out of it.
