Here we go again - Modifications to the Berkeley Stats

Well, it looks like we are going to have another dose of messed up stats. It appears they have added some new columns and such to the Seti@Home Team Stats Page that has completely messed up SetiTEAM.

I guess I'll have to use pencil and paper to see who won the race. :Q

If I'm sending in 1085570816WUs/day then why do I have only 5247 total?😕 Does that mean that I have only been a member for .418 seconds? Either they need to work on their new stats or I'm confused.😕 At the least I'm not impressed.

They took total results * years cpu time * 365

Uhh...and these are scientists?? 😉

Damn, that makes it the creators of SETI Team, SETI Driver, and SETI Spy that have called it quits so far this year. 🙁 Knock it off, Berkeley, there will be no one left at this rate. :|

Crazee, are you sure? Run it and do a compare to one of your saved *.cmp files and let us know what you see. 😉

That is really strange. I have version 2.1a and the names are all garbled with the added info. Would you please email me your copy so I can try it. The one I have is 398 KB in size so there should be no problem with the mail service.

Email is in my profile.

You are right Crazee! Your version works! I guess that means we have a short-term lease on the continued use of SetiTEAM.

Sqiz has taken down the entire SetiTEAM website. 🙁

When Berk does something the next time and causes it to crash, it will be gone forever.

I wonder if some of our programming skilled members would be willing to take his project on to continue its life? I also wonder if Sqiz would even consider turning over his code for someone to continue in his footsteps?

If someone steps forward I will contact him and see if something can be worked out. He may not accept any contact on the subject because he does seem pretty determined to cut off all communication ... taking down the whole website. :Q

Seems they took the extra column out now....

They should have at least notified the 3rd-party add-on folks about these things. They could create a special forum on their message boards for announcements like that and maybe get feedback before implementing.

Since Sqiz is no longer supporting SetiTEAM, any changes that corrupt the data fetch are going to completely trash that program. I wonder, if they would just avoid doing anything NEW to the first four (4) columns, if SetiTEAM would continue to work. In other words, add and fiddle with columns five (5) and higher.

I'm not sure if that would avoid corrupting the data fetch or not ... but it is a thought.

I might pass this suggestion on to Berk.

I agree with that 100%!

He made a goodbye post yesterday and then it looked like he took his website down to boot.
