Cool weapon but the narration was making my blood boil.
This weapon could change stuff! omg it's a gun! We've never used guns before! This is a revolution in stuff!
It doesn't even sound like a new idea. I remember there being an automatic shotgun in Counter-Strike about 9 years ago. The game said the gun was made by Benelli. Just like the video says, yeah it was awesome in close combat. I should install Counter-Strike again...

It's Future Weapons. They make everything sound super intense.
Anyway, this thing is different from the M1014 and others because it's automatic shotgun, not just semi auto. Plus the drum has a much higher capacity than the 6-8 mag in most combat shotguns.
I'm surprised how low the recoil looked. Though they might have been shooting lower recoiling rounds.
edit: Yeah the part about 200 yards didn't make sense. Whether this thing is big shit or not, it still can't greatly change the effective range of buckshot, which is more like 30-40 yards. A slug could go further but still not 200 yards especially with most shotgun sights.

The current version is actually from 1972
But even that is based off of older versions.
you know, I never understood why the auto shotgun was so much weaker then the pump shotty in video games

yep, like someone said already, its in MW2 and its pretty awesome on the firing end, no so much on the receiving end lol, if its as good as in the game (which i assume they try to make as realistic as possible) its pretty good for close range.

about 4.5 minutes in they show a round which says can go to 175 meters.
175 meters = 191.382327 yards
so its basically 200 yards.

Sigh, yet another shining example of why humans are so fucked up. That gun has only one purpose; to kill. And not just kill, but slaughter. I mean, do you really need a fucking automatic shotgun? Do you really have to shoot someone more than once with a fucking shotgun? I can't believe the garbage being discussed in this thread! "Oh, the gun can't possibly kill a person from 200 meters!!!11" How about discussing the reasons for even having something like that? Jesus people, cmon.
It is designed for the military. The military's primary job is to kill in times of war. This should do the job rather well. Everyone knows this.

Oh of course. So now our troops can just walz through a "suspected insurgents" home and strafe every room with 00 buckshot. I'm sure that will win the hearts and minds.

well in my position (not being military) i'd only fire at someone if I knew my life was in danger, ie: they have a gun or knife, etc. and except for a home invasion or mugging, the only time id ever have a gun on me where id intend to use it would be in a confrontation dealing with terrorists, and since most terrorists are islamic, then I know the brown person in front of me would be a terrorist

Why don't you go on your crusade with Isreal/Pakistan? Or how about North/South Korea? Or what about India/Pakistan? Or what about 90% of African countries?
I might not agree with the current wars, and I don't agree with everything that has happened in those conflicts. That said, before you go "omg innocent people are dying" you should go to where there is real slaughter of the innocent (hint it's not Iraq or Afghanistan).
