lol. It's clear that you aren't a military expert because "winning the hearts and minds" is exactly what they have been trying to do since the start of this illegal war, based on lies and deceit. Now we have our military going in with automatic shotguns. Let that sink in for a while. An automatic shotgun. I can think of no better weapon for the indiscriminate slaughter of innocents than an automatic shotgun.

you are pretty far off the mark. area suppression weapons like bombs or modern gattling guns are kind of indescriminate. shotguns or rifles even fully automatic are not. who are you kidding, this isn't a video game, you can only carry so much ammo and by default such a weapon is aimed. you must be one of those that thinks shotguns have ridiculous spread effects.

about 4.5 minutes in they show a round which says can go to 175 meters.

175 meters = 191.382327 yards

so its basically 200 yards.

yes, but when he said it, he was talking about buckshot wasn't he? because he said it was throwing a lot of lead down range or something to that effect, right? I don't think he was referring to the slugs with fins.

You guys are missing the point. This shotgun with the Frag 12 ammo is what you want for the Zombie Apocalypse!

yep, like someone said already, its in MW2 and its pretty awesome on the firing end, no so much on the receiving end lol, if its as good as in the game (which i assume they try to make as realistic as possible) its pretty good for close range.

explain why people frequently survive it, even at close range...

Oh of course. So now our troops can just walz through a "suspected insurgents" home and strafe every room with 00 buckshot. I'm sure that will win the hearts and minds.

terrorist babies are short. the spread effect of a shotgun is needed to ensure that everything in the room is adequately pacified.

The auto effect of this is more humane, as you can spread lead throughout a 10x10 room in a matter of seconds, the terrorists and their baby terrorists would be pacified before they even knew you were there.

Cool weapon but the narration was making my blood boil.

This weapon could change stuff! omg it's a gun! We've never used guns before! This is a revolution in stuff!

It doesn't even sound like a new idea. I remember there being an automatic shotgun in Counter-Strike about 9 years ago. The game said the gun was made by Benelli. Just like the video says, yeah it was awesome in close combat. I should install Counter-Strike again...

Yes, auto shotguns have long been in existence, the cool thing about the AA-12 is the super low recoil it has. They have videos showing scrawny women accurately operating the weapon one-handed and upside-down. Granted the gun should never intentionally be fired that way but the point is that it is meant to be an extremely reliable weapon that won't punish the user like a typical shotgun (especially an auto-shotgun) would.

old, this is even in MW2.

the guy says anyone in 200 yards couldn't survive? thats a long distance for a shotgun.
oh, and someone needs to tell the IW this then, because the players in the game certainly survive it just fine...
Games aren't realistic, they'd be no fun with people running around with realistic AA-12s.

Sigh, yet another shining example of why humans are so fucked up. That gun has only one purpose; to kill. And not just kill, but slaughter. I mean, do you really need a fucking automatic shotgun? Do you really have to shoot someone more than once with a fucking shotgun? I can't believe the garbage being discussed in this thread! "Oh, the gun can't possibly kill a person from 200 meters!!!11" How about discussing the reasons for even having something like that? Jesus people, cmon.
No, you don't have to shoot someone more than once with a shotgun, this is meant for engaging multiple targets and perhaps more importantly, providing suppressive fire superiority for situations where a soldier or unit might be severely outnumbered.
