1. Lian Li PC-7 Plus Black Case.
2. ASUS A8R-MVP Motherboard.
3. AMD 3700+ San Diego CPU.
4. OCZ Platinum rev2 2X512MB=1GB.
5. EVGA 7800GT (#516) video card.
6. Seagate 250GB SATA hard drive.
7. Viewsonic VP930b 19"LCD monitor.
8. Fortron FSP550-60PLN power supply.
9. Windows XP Home (full version).

I know I need a DVD burner probably a Sony DRU-810A, and a floppy drive (kids still bring home stuff from school on floppys).

I am going to try the onboard sound and if not satisfied I will get a sound card.

Am I leaving something out? What about connectors, adaptors, etc for the power supply?
Can anyone think of something I might need?

Thanks for any help or advice.

Mmm...

Make sure you ordered the retail of the AMD 64 3700+, or you might have to get a heatsink.

are you planing on OCing? because that fortron PSU might not handle it... mabe?

its is rated at 550 but I donno if it is that good. But seeing that you don't have that many HDDS or anything it probably would work...

What do you need?

A 7800GT that comes with the free motherboard, which happens to be one of the best out there
An Opteron 165
2gb of value ram instead of 1GB of high speed ram
A Hitachi SATAII HDD (8.5 ms access time)
A 17" monitor (19" stretches out the pixels, so it looks worse)

That's what you need.

Crescent....I did get the 7800GT...lol
I really wanted the Opty 165 but it wasnt in stock anywhere before I ordered.
I debated the Valueram/high speed ram thing. Went with the high speed ram because that what was tested with the board so I knew it would work.
