Here is some scientific research with some tantalizing implications for politics.

So you think drugging republicans to get them to agree with your point of view is a good idea. This is progressive thinking? This is the world you want to create?

... found they tended to learn faster, remember events longer and solve complex problems better than normal mice.
... suffered less anxiety...
Would such effects, if applied to humans, really be detrimental to society as a whole?

The only part that could go either way is:
... increase risk-taking behavior.

I wonder if this chemical and its potential differences in quantity or effect could account for differences in conservative liberal thinking. It could potentially point to a medical way to ameliorate excessive conservative paranoid or liberal risk taking behavior.

Oh, did they peer review the paper that said CBD was a thing? The last I heard CBD was not peer reviewed and the research was based off someone looking for a reason to explain why Conservatives had defects. I would imagine the presupposition could bias the data, but did something happen to show it was a valid thing? If so can you point me to that data?

Especially coming from Moonbeam, I always assumed he meant Cannabidiol, an active chemical in weed, when he was talking about CBD.

Scientifically speaking, democracy doesn't work. People in general are just too stupid and are perfectly content being that way.

I said nothing about a CBD. I would say you would have to have a CBD to think I said something about that. The three letters CBD are a device I invented to illustrate as in a mirror this dissonant effect. Conservatives more than liberals don't face information that is painful for the their egos, and when you identify this fact as a defect they do exactly as described, shine on the information. This is just like calling somebody a defensive asshole. Because they get pissed that you called them an asshole they generally argue their not defensive at all and which, of course, shows them to be exactly that. And they can do this all day long and remain completely blind.

The facts that liberals and conservatives have different brains and thus differences in cognitive activities can easily be found on the web.

Nobody eats the right "brain soup" at all times. We used to blame the way people were on the drugs. Now, I just don't know.

This paper that Moonbeam cites only discussed the differences in conservative and liberal brains. Nowhere in this sturdy were these differences described as being a defect. Moonbeam created the term CBD as he needed something to fear. As Moonbeam has stated time after time, we create what we fear.

There's about a 100% probability it will be banned simply because it improves lives. Look at how the government treats amphetamine. It's one of the most useful drugs in the world, so the government had to regulate it into oblivion. According to the government, being 400 pounds and wanting to lose weight is not considered a legitimate use of amphetamine, but being a bored 8 year old in math class is a legitimate use of amphetamine. This is what governments do. Look at the struggle just to get medical marijuana legalized. Marijuana is a drug that has literally never killed anyone, and the government still refuses to let kids with severe epilepsy use it. Marijuana and amphetamine are illegal, but Tylenol is legal even though Tylenol is the leading cause of liver failure.

If someone found a cure for cancer, the government would jump to pass legislation called the Helping Save Americans Freedom Patriot Liberty Act to immediately ban that cure.

Speaking of Medicinal weed. The state of MN finally passed an amendment to allow its use. Of course we pick the most regulated and oppressive way to administer it. It has to be in pill form and the state govt picks a single supplier. Last night watching the news there is a push to expand its application to other diseases. The states response was "other means of pain control or issues have to be proved to not work before medicinal weed is allowed". In other words the state is dictating people have to try opioids or prescription medicines before weed. Seriously? This is how fucked our govts view of weed has been for decades. They would rather people be on opioids than weed. /faceplam

Of course it's what he wants. Moonbeam's CBD is just a projection. He hates his ugly bigoted self so much that he projects it onto his enemies.

What's next? Demanding that a woman be counseled in options other than abortion before she get an abortion?

LOL, Minnesota Democrats.

No. I told you it could easily be found on the web. If I try to make you eat that pill, swallow the fact that such research exists and is easily found by supplying it for you, you will just become more deeply convinced it doesn't exist as I pointed out in other research in a different thread. We only value what we pay for, and the pay I require from you is that you look it up yourself. I have posted it a million times, got in trouble with the mods for doing so, so often, and it did not the slightest good anyhow. People want to stay defective.

No no no. Damn it, you have it all wrong. The more you know you hate yourself the more you know you're insane. The more you know you're insane because you hate yourself and the more you accept that as fact, the less you have to hate and blame others for your problems. All my problems are my fault because I hate myself. Now since it's not my fault that I hate myself, verified by reliving some of my past, the more I know I do hate myself for all the wrong reasons. The fact is that I just feel worthless, it isn't real, and the more I know it the less I can blame you. because like me, you can't be worthless in fact either. It's just like me, you have that feeling. And the more you know it the less you will blame me. We are the same, I just seem to like us better than you do. So many tears in the rain.

Of course. Why legalize something if one can't give multi-billion dollar contracts to one's closest friends, family members, and campaign donors? It's the American way.

They would rather people be on opioids than weed. /faceplam
Of course. If you're going to be forced to buy things from the government's campaign contributors, trying to get you hooked on the most addictive drugs is the logical choice. On a similar note, ibogaine is illegal in the US. It's an extremely powerful and unpleasant hallucinogen that helps a lot of people end addictions to other drugs. The government doesn't want people to stop their addictions. Addictions are big money.

Is it Tylenol, or the chronic over-use of Tylenol?
Depends what you mean by chronic. You can die from Tylenol just by overusing it for a couple weeks. Smoking might kill you in 20 years. Tylenol will kill you in 20 days. The toxicity of Tylenol is why it's mixed with so many things. If you look for medication containing pseudoephedrine, almost everything you find will contain Tylenol. A similar thing is done to cough syrup. I can't remember the name of it, but there's a drug added to cough medicine that contains dextromethorphan. If you try drinking a whole bottle to "robotrip" your balls off, you'll get very sick.

I will never understand the mentality behind these things. Sure, some kids like to abuse cough medicine. Who cares? Why does anyone care if some people like to smoke a joint while watching TV? Why does anyone care if some people like to take ephedrine before cleaning their house?

Then can you PM me the evidence? You have made a claim, and I did look for it and could not find anything peer reviewed. If you have that information I would love to look at it. As for now, you are telling me its super easy to find, and are spending time to tell me that, but are not willing to spend time giving me a link or something else easy. Why should I believe what you have to say if you don't provide evidence?

I say that you are wrong and its easy to find if you look. The fact that you do not look for it shows that you know you are wrong and do not want to hurt your ego.

See, if we both do that, then nobody benefits.
