here is how to do a larger profile in AIM

In win2k it is stored as info.html in
C:\Documents and Settings\W2K_LOGIN_NAME\Application Data\Aim\YOUR_SCREEN_NAME

where you fill in the captial letter words with your names. also changing info.htm does not change your profile - not sure how to get around this.

that is where it is stored - thanks

it changes the profile if you re- log on to aim

although it still has the size limit, i once saw a way to get around the limit, but i dont remember how...

I made myself a nice little website, and linked to it in my profile, with 'target="_self"' in the HTML code so that when the link is clicked, it is loaded within the buddy info window. For example, it could look something like this:

<a href="http://www.blahblah.com/profile.htm" target="_self">click to view my profile</a>

i dont remember how or where,

but i saw a way to past a larger profile into a file (that stores your profile) so that you can exceed the size limit without having to link to somewhere.

<< is there any way to change the text limit of the profile itself without using subprofile or linking to another page? >>

I was under the impression that it was a registry entry that killed it, but maybe that was the buddy list length, cant remember anymore

Looks like I was right, you can change the number of buddies on the list via the registry, I rooted through mine and couldnt find any setting about your profile so that's probably not it. sorry
