Interesting, I have heard other people mention they like the colors provided by Fuji cameras. Your second picture is very colorful.
 
Yes. just a spray bottle and some luke warm water.

Not bad at all considering it was a handheld shot at ISO1600 - and with a 169$ camera.

my roommate in college had a cockatiel. i miss that bird. so much fun. we didn't know it was a girl until it laid an egg one day
