Less then 3 hours till my surgery to get my wisdom teeth out. Didn't get a whole lot of sleep tonight, but maybe that'll make getting sedated easier.... :/

Again, wish me luck! My surgery is from 9-about 1030!

---yes I know this is kinda a repost :p

Oh, don't you worry, they arealdy told me they are going to give them to me. Probably percocets only b/c I had them once before and I know my reaction to them.

Oh, and BTW, it's at an oral surgeons, very nice place, and I am being sedated, and given long acting novicane. It's actually being sedated that's got me scared, I don't liek the idea of someone telling my body to go to sleep :(

I can't guarantee it'll be the same, but I had all four out in January at an OS in Pasadena (Dr. Tate). It went very well, I had the GA and novicaine as well. The anisthesia was a lot less aggressive than what I have experienced before with surgery for sinus issues, and when I woke up, I didn't feel my mouth at all, but I could walk just fine after a twenty minute rest on a couch in a designated recovery room. After about 7-8 hours I could feel my mouth again, but even then it wasn't too bad but I took my Vics and never stopped until a week later :)

Just remember not to eat/drink beforehand, ask your doctor any questions, try to feel as calm as possible and hopefully it should go well. I have a high sensitivity to any type of drug, and the light GA they used wasn't bad at all. They used a nice little butterfly needle to administer it so it didn't bruise my skin like most of the HMO doctors do with regular type syringes. It was more of a quick and pleasant flight into sleep unlike the ton of bricks that were required for several hour nose surgeries I had.

Good luck :)

Just to let all know, I made it out in one piece. However, my fear of waking up did happen, I woke up after about 20 mins, and they were liek wow, she's awake, and I repled uh huh, or at least I tried, since my mouth was numb and 3 people were woking in it.

Good thing the novicane was strong, cause I didn't feel much.... then.... but now, even with the vicodone and tylenol, and iceing every 20 mins, and sleeping, it hurts like a mother... and it's still bleeding.

So I al alive, yeah, but in pain, boo... something I don't ever want to relive. Pray you don't wake up! I'm actually not groggy at all!

Not to scare you, but this was hands down the worst experience, and I had just one pulled. My heart rate was about 120 a half hour before and barely dropped. There was no pain but the IDEA of pulling along with the snapping and popping...ugh. I swear you can still see my grip marks in the metal armrest.

I woke up during my operation and it was one of the coolest, weirdest feelings ever.
