Here goes newbie and setting up a file storage server

I currently have, p2 233 win 98, xp home on a dell 1.8, and xp pro on my homebuilt 2.7g.

i have windows 2k server to which i would like to use

and netgear 10/100 10 port hub

here is what i hope to do

set 2k server up on the 233 which only has 4 gigs which we could use as a file server
i set up the 233 so that each family member has access to only his files when logged on as himself.
i would use xp home still on my delll and xp pro on mine, is this going to be achievable?

later, i would like to setup the 233 as a firewall too for when i get dsl and d/l linux

my questions are, how do i setup 2k server so that people only have access to certain folders, when logged on as a certain person?
how do i get it so people on xp can view the server, and the server can identify them when they click on their sn on the others.

it may seem complicated, because i am not good at explaining this, but i will try to know explain it in a few words
