Wow, substantially better wet grip - and IMHO the Z1 wet grip is amazing.

I think those are my next tires.

Argggg, please make them in bigger sizes 🙁 The first gen ones also had the same issue for me.

265/17 and 295/18 would be awesome. They do have 255/40/17 and 285/30/18 now (previously the max was 275/35/18), so maybe I'll give those a try.

Excellent, I was just thinking about this and wondering when the new ones would be out. Loved the z1's I had, probably more so than the new Michelin's Im running now. Probably need tires in a few months, looks like z2's will be the ones.

I know this doesn't matter, but I must say I much prefer the look of the z1 to the z2.

Out of curiosity, how do they compare?

I did the same thing. I feel the michelins are quieter and offer a bit better steering feel. The dunlops to me warmed up faster and that might be why I feel they responded better to quick turn ins. In the wet I've found them pretty similar, course I don't really push limits when it does so I can't say if one or the other is significantly better, but neither have made me feel nervous even in heavy rain. Overall I find them pretty similar, although I can't fully explain why I enjoyed the dunlops more, and I don't really feel like the premium for the michelins is entirely worth it.

man these are tempting for my z. I took it out yesterday since the weather was amazing and I broke loose in third on the hwy. these hankooks are starting go off.

I just hate spending so much on tires.

Like most in this thread, I hope the keep the price down, have more sizes, and compare favorably with the Michelin PSS.

ditto. 245/40/19 here. no star specs for me 🙁 i'm planning on running RE11's since I've been very happy with my RE50's.

although according to my friend in his WRX, they can get too warm and mushy during autocross. his best laps are usually around laps 2-3 of 5.
