On the contrary my good man, it looks MUCH better without their halfassed GUI.

That fugly excuse for a 'theme' hurts my eyes.

I switched it to silver, it's almost like classic, but it still has the shading. I like it :)

hell with 512mb ram, I can handle the extra features!

My only real complaint with the new theme is the start menu. It is too wide.

i didnt like the green start button with the Silver Theme for WinXP, but i did like the blue start button which can be found at this link. http://boomgames.com/xpthemes/. just do a search for "silver blue xp theme". its basically a silver theme with a blue start button and blue (instead of red) program close button. for a screenshot of my desktop using this theme, check out the following pic

I have it on my old computer which has a 17" monitor running 1024x768 but even on my 19" at 1280x960 it is too wide for something that has only one thing on it.

Thanks for the post!
I've been looking for a good resource to change XP skins. :)
--Edit: and to those of you who say that the skins are too resource hungry: I'm pretty sure my Athlon 1Ghz can handle a little windows skin - considering if I don't run seti my CPU usage average is ~1%.

i'm using arha's (from ars technica) Rhodium Edge theme... i'm pretty sure you can find it at http://arhra.arsware.org

it's pretty nifty. I do run the classic start menu though. too much of a pain to have keystrokes memorized on win2k and go to that funky new one. ;)
