Hercules Geforce2 Pro and Abit KT7-RAID Problem

I have a problem with my Hercules Geforce2 Pro and Abit KT7-RAID. I bought these components a few days ago and put them together. When I booted up there was no video signal coming from the card. I replaced the card with a Matrox G400 MAX and it worked perfectly. I have heard that Hercules cards need more power and that the AGP slot of the ABit board is not providing enough power so the video does not appear on the screen. The fan of the Hercules card does operate when my machine is on. Please, if anyone knows anything about this issue post a response.

I have the exact same problem with a Creative Labs Geforce2 GTS - no signal to the monitor and sometimes 'no video card' error beeps.

Over the last few weeks I've searched about this extensively - in summary, the combination of KT7/KT7-RAID and Geforce2 is a marginal combination - it may work, but it sometimes doesn't. Either change your Geforce card for another brand, or better, change the motherboard for a different brand.
 
BigC was having a similar problem, I think he switched to a 300w power supply and that solved it for him. ymmv
