Hercules Game Theater XP

im not really sure where u can find reviews, but on these forums i have heard nothing but good about them...if you have a want or need for the extra box like the live drive of the platnium, then this is the card to get...if you dont need it though, the turtle beach santa cruz seems like the way to go...basically both cards use the same chipset but the gtxp has the extra box

Here's a link to the Game Theater XP website where you can find more info on the card (from Hercules) and links to several reviews (from other sites). Also, search the messages here on the forum and you will find quite a few that sing the praises of the card.

Man I couldn't even imagine what kind of sound one could experience with this card and the new Klipsch 5.1s........

<< better take tested stuff SB live!5.1 >>

😕
I speak from experience when I say that the GTPXP is a helluva lot better than that.

will if u dont like equalized sound then GTPXP is not what u need..
and its not better 🙂
in my opinion

<< will if u dont like equalized sound then GTPXP is not what u need.. >>

hmm, yeah, that's why you turn off the equalizer. At least the GTXP has an equalizer...

you want to say that hercules came from nothing or no where with a card that beats cards that been here for generations?
its not like AMD vs intle i mean hercules just made a new card and started selling it!!.
there were no history
why do u think most people execept on this forum buy creative ?
coz they are stuped i dont think soo
and i dont wanna start a war with no one here coz i know you all are with the Game Theater but
time will prove my words

One of the best sound options available on the market. Can't beat it for performance; a lil pricy -- but definitely worth it. I was using one earlier last month and it is beautiful.

<< you want to say that hercules came from nothing or no where with a card that beats cards that been here for generations? >>

I think I understood this from your unbelievably bad grammar, but that is exactly what we are saying. Hercules has done something that Creative hasn't done for years, it's called innovation

no no no

innovation dosnt exists in a day and night

and what languages do u speak rather than english ?????????????

will am 18 and i speak 4 and its not my first language so dont u say anything about my garmmar:|

Ok, in the past we've heard arguements on both sides of this debate, and I would like to know this: for you GTXP people, are there any conditions under which you would recommend the SB Live Plat 5.1 instead? Please keep sarcasm to a minimum. Same thing for SB users, when would you recommend a GTXP? I'm going to be ordering my new soundcard within the next few weeks, so please, convince me.

Don't kill me but I thought that Hercules basically owns the technology rights from Turtle Beach...haven't they made sound cards for a while (albeit) the Santa Cruz and GTXP are the first ones that really hit the mark....but then you can say the same thing for AMD...even though they hit the "486" mark first, no one cared for them until Athlon came along.

oh yeah--I used both cards...currently useing the GTXP. I like it better. Better sound--much better job with 5.1 sound in PowerDVD.

The SB Live Platinum is a waste of money, I had a 5.1 platinum and the live drive was of no use to me. I find the Game Theater box to be a lot more useful, especially the USB jacks.

In the past four months I have owned a SB Live Value, SB Live 5.1 Platinum, Santa Cruz, Acoustic Edge, and now a Game Theater. The Santa Cruz and Game Theater are my two favorites out of those five. The Game Theater is awesome, volume and sound quality of my Klipsch Promedias is unreal with this soundcard.

I'm a little unfamiliar with non-Creative soundcards, it's horrible, I know. 😱 With the 6 separate channel output, how do I know if my speakers are compatible? I'm assuming that the Creative DTT3500s are not, since they have that DIN in or whatever, and I'm assuming that the Klipsch 4.1s are since so many people on this board seem to have that setup. Guidance for someone beginning so see the light?

Ok, that was stupid. I decided to actually spend a few minutes look at the GTXP and I understand now. The digital out jack on the GTXP could go to the SPDIF in on the DTT3500s (just and example). Ok, I feel stupid now.

Sorry about the comment about your grammar. I myself don't speak 4 languages (although im not too bad at spanish) and I imagine it would be hard to get all of them perfect. As for the game theater XP, you have to admit its one hell of a card. You can't put it off just because its new and the creative sound card is tried and true.
