I just received my game theater xp package (OEM-brown box) and there is no paper manual or soft manual on the cdrom included. I have looked at the Hercules site and there is no manual available for download. I have also used Google to search for a manual to no avail. Can anyone tell me how to hook the speakers up with my BA 4800? I know there is a second cd that comes with the retail package, so can anyone tell me if the manual is on that disc? If anyone has it, I would appreciate a pm or reply. Thanks!

the second CD is only a few game demo's and other stuff like that... nothing really usefull.

do you have the GTXP installed and working? If so-- then hooking up the speakers shouldnt be to hard--
just plug them into the back of the GTXP box. The only thing left is to Game Theater settings on your computer (should be in the control panel) and set up the speaker configuration for 4 speakers or whatever.. The manual that came with your speakers may also have some instructions on setting them up with your soundcard.

Thanks for your reply, but if you read my post carefully you will see that I have NO manual.

Well, I assume you know how to insert a PCI card into the slot. About connecting the external rack, here's what the manual has to say:

<< 2. Connect the end of the two-meter PCI cable with the USB extension t the DB-25 connector on your Game Theater XP soundboard.

3. Plug the USB extension of the cable into one of the USB ports at the back of your computer.

4. Connect the end of the cable labeled Rack to the connector labeled Computer on the Game Theater XP external rack.
>>

Then install drivers. The speaker hookup should be straightforward, as all the connectors are clearly marked. The exact setup depends on your speaker system.

if you dont have the drivers (xp wont load em for me automatically) download them from hercules.com. Make sure to get the updated 6.1 software and also, if you run xp, run the xp patch before installing the software. I absolutely hate it when have to re-install the gtx drivers, it takes me 1-2 hours to get it working right. blah. But once its installed it works perfectly.

I figured it out and got it installed. Sounds great, I just wish a manual had been included with the OEM version.

DEFINATELY download the newest version of the GTXP drivers from Hercules' website!! DO NOT play with the shipped drivers that came with your GTXP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
