Hercules Game Theater or Santa Cruz???

I'm in the market for a new sound card (I currently have an old soundblaster 64) and I hear great things about the Hercules Game Theater and the Santa Cruz (Turtle Beach?). What do you all think about them? Any problems with them? Also, what do you think is a better value because I dont have a ton of money and I'm looking for the best "bang for the buck". thanks..

I have the Santa Cruz but haven't hooked it up yet. They use the same chip, if I'm not mistaken, so they'll sound the same, but it's just a difference in feature sets. The Game Theater comes with a box that plugs into a front bay of your computer like the LiveDrive from Creative with various ports, and the SC doesn't. I got my SC for about $60 new, but they usually run about $70, and the Game Theater runs about $115.

I'm using the Santa Cruz, just installed it hours ago.🙂
I bought it for 79.99, but the Game Theater XP is more expensive.

the gtxp rack is really useful. i use headphones a lot and having the jack right on my desktop is so much easier than having it behind my computer. also the gameport and usb ports are useful. i'd go for the gtxp if price is not an issue.
