Hercules 9700 PRO Opinions?

Looking to get either the ATI Radeon 9700 PRO or the Hercules 9700 PRO.
Wondering if anyone has the Hercules card and what they think of it. I am looking for best 2D/3D performance and which one overclocks better. Also since the GPU fan is changed is it louder than the stock ATI fan? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

i dont have either of them but from what i heard the hercules 9700 is supposed to be better

They are both the same.
Apart from:
The physical colour of the card
the cooling solution
the bundle that come with it.

Same Performance
Basically the same drivers.

If it means anything the dude with the top 3Dmark 2001 SE score uses the a Hercules 9700 Pro.

The Hercules is better for overclocking without question. And it looks awesome to boot. At stock speeds it has at least as good 2D/3D performance as pretty much any other R9700 Pro, and in some cases even better. Definitely go with the Hercules. You won't be disappointed.

I am wondering about the quality and performance between the Built by ATI / Powered by ATI....especially the 2D factor since I have read the Hercules can have blurry 2D quality compared to the ATI built card. Can anyone comment on this?

How high of a resolution do you want? I recall someone saying that at 1280x1024 they could not/barely see a difference.
If you want to be sure, get the ATI card, I think it should overclock quite decently these days.

got a Viewsonic 19'" A90f+ and not sure what resolution to run it at....anyone own any hercules cards...what do u think of them?

Another card I had noticed was the Tyan 9700 PRO does anyone have any opinions regarding this card compared to the Hercules and ATI?
