Seems that if you build someone up too much, they begin to believe that they're as great as you say they are, and they start to feel like they can do no wrong, and that you'll always be there for them, so they don't really need to tend to YOUR needs, they're happy to just let you devote your life to their happiness. Unfortunately, one day you wake up and realize that they're not making you happy, in fact they're not even TRYING. But now they're up on that pedistal you placed them on and they're out of reach, it's too late. You can keep the "perfect" girl or eventually give up and find someone who's still on the ground, and try not to put them on a pedistal. These lessons are hard to learn. >>
