Apparently, these are lower-quality made in Japan knives. They still sound nicer than any walmart specials though. The german-made Henckels are the good ones I guess. I was just looking for a decent set of knives that will last at least 5 years though, so, we'll see.
Received good reviews on Amazon.. Crazy if you think these are top of the line Henckles. They go for $100's. Altho not a professional Chef anymore, I am a trained chef an know what a good set of Henckles are. For the $$$, these are probably as good as you are going to get.
the top of the line henkels is the twin henkel series (there are several models).
I have a set of the regular henkels, micro serrated but with full tang, these molded handles look cheap... anyway, the blades are sweet. But these dont replace a set of non serrated knives =)...
