Summing up what has happened in the last few months: Three months after my mom left her job, she got into a car accident. After this she had no car, no job and she was in the hospital for 10 days, in ICU. Thank god she got out, but she is still suffering from respitory problems and severe back pain. She is living with me now and I am really at a loss of how I can help her. She is severely depressed. She doesn't have anyone to talk to right now beside me, and understandably suffers from severe depression. She feels like she has nothing to live for.
Right now I am her only support system, financially, emotionally. I love my mom, but I don't know how I can help her progress and have her look forward to things in life. I know her getting a job will help her out far more emotionally than financially. She cannot easily get around as she requires use of a wheeled oxygen tank and she has no car. I have a car, but I use to get to work and frankly I am worried about her using my car as we still do not know what caused her to loose control of her car and get into the accident.
The biggest help will be for her to get a job. Can any of you think of something she could do that provide her with an income, and keep her busy for part of the day? I tired thinking of jobs that do not require leaving the house, and all I could think of was some kind of medical/legal transcription, or billing....something involving the computer.
Anyone have any possible jobs she might be able to do in her situation?? Anyone know of any reputable/popular 'family coping' sites out there. You know, good main site, forums, that type of thing.
Not sure ATF is a place to ask for the above, but most folks here are pretty helpful.......
Thanks
EDIT: I forgot to mention that other family memebers live far away, and cannot offer much financial help either.
