It's been awhile for me, so I may be out of the trend. What am I missing:

indeed.com
dice.com
monster
careerbuilder
craigslist
hotjobs
Personal networking
Career fairs
Head hunters

Am I missing anything big?

If he has a degree he can use the career services at the University that he graduated from as an alumni

Go to the companies' websites, look for jobs/openings, fill out applications...profit.

At least in my case. Employment websites such as Monster, et al did not work for me at all.

If he is a college student or grad, go to the Career Center and check out the job leads.

Strangely enough monster/CB got me all the interviews and jobs.. and 1 interview from personal networking.

I only get retarded bogus spam & recruiters from Craigslist, Monster, and any search sites dropped in this thread. They all are pure garbage. And the offers are shittier than the weight I lose on a daily basis.

$10 for a temp job, no steady hours, guarunteed to be treated like a nobody, somewhere an hour away from me? Learn to use google maps before calling me, you fuckwits.

Am glad I finally did land something in my profession that doesn't totally suck though.... But it was through my school, and nothing I came across in my own hunt could even hold a candle to this offer in comparison...

But yes. Do personal networking, that's the most safest bet. Encourage him to milk all his contacts for leads.
