I use SpiceWorks for the helpdesk at work but it has several little things about it that have been annoying so been looking for alternatives

hoping you guys could recommend any good ones.

Spiceworks is great for a free solution. Other ticketing systems get pricey quick.

What size business are we talking? From personal experience i'd avoid BMC Remedy, it's a slow buggy mess.
 
I've used Track-It (Now owned by BCM, formerly Numara). I still use it on occasion, but it has been years since I gave it any heavy use. I never really had any problems with it.

Not a big fan of cloud services for business in general, but this is fantastic. Nothing to maintain & easy to use. I do like Spiceworks, for a lot of reasons, but have also had my share of problems (like it choking servers randomly), so I've opted not to use it in my business projects.
 
I hate to resurrect this ancient topic, but I'm looking for a replacement of an older Kayako system. Something AI powered would be fine, but I hate the pay per resolution pricing strategy. Can anyone recommend some helpdesk system worth trying?
