How do you turn on the DMA in the device manager? i am in it right now and it doesn't make sense.

For XP right click the primary/secondary IDE channel, click properties. That should do it!

By the way, that was under IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers (click the plus sign).

Dereck, if you're using WinME, RIGHT-click MY COMPUTER-click THE DEVICE MANAGER TAB-click DISK DRIVES- then click on each IDE Disk Type, making sure when you selected each one, click then click on the SETTINGS tab, and make sure that DMA is checked. Hope this helps
