Two days ago I decided to update my bios, so I downloaded the latest version for my board (which is a SHuttle AK31A). I accidently opened the program in windows and my computer froze. NOW MY COMP DOESNT BOOT UP AT ALL🙁. WHat to do? Do I simply just replace my bios chip with new ones?

Im already at the point of ordering a Athlon XP 1900 with one of those sweet SOltek KT266A boards. BUt I would like to atleast have a shot of fixing this board if I CAN****. Cuz this board is $80 good dollars down the drain.

You don't work on computers or know how they work do you? You do not throw a motherboard away because of a bad bios flash, at the worst you buy a new bios chip from your motherboard manufacturer or you can get one at www.badflash.com, and at best you can see if clearing your cmos might get you booted. Don't give information out when you don't know about the subject!!!

[EDIT]I think a bios chip is about twenty bucks from badflash and they send it out pretty quick, unlike motherboard manufacturers who will have you waiting a month. See if you can get it going first though. You never know, clearing your cmos might work. If you don't know how either look at your manual and if you don't have one tell me and i'll explain to you how.
