which is actually not that bad if mixed correctly :)

anyways, here's link to your problem (from your signature)

so what kind of error message did you get when you log on? maybe that would help a bit
did you try to set the initial size to the recommended value (which is 1.5 times the amount of RAM, according to the help)? then set the maximum to twice the initial size (which is a good rule of thumb)
also, since the problem is there when you log on, see what process(es) is started with logon ... they may be the cause of the problem (look at services that starts automatically)

if you have multiple partition on your hd, try to set the paging file on a different partition and see if the problem goes away
