I am really having a bad day...........anyways.....I just got another stick of 256 MB of Crucial PC2100 DDR. I have two sticks of the same kind in my computer now. When I start up Half-Life or Counter-Strike and try to make a LAN game, it freezes up or gives me all this wierd sh!t on my screen. I already tried OpenGL and DirectX. Both of them don't work but software mode does.......
This is what I got in my computer:
Abit KG7
2 sticks of Crucial PC2100 DDR
Hercules Prophet 4500 64 MB Video Card
I think thats all you really need. I am also running Windows 2k Pro. I already updated my Video Card drivers, DirectX drivers, already uninstalled Half-Life and re-installed it..........I also set my processor to default speed (1.4 GHZ) so there is no stability issues here.......hopefully not........I am clueless what to do now........help!!!!!!!!!1
Thanks.
Edit:
I just called Crucial Tech Support and they told me that I should flash the BIOS, that is the only way it will be fixed. Is this true? I already tried to take out one of the sticks of memory and it doesn't do it, it acts normal. It is only with 512 MB of memory.........![Frown :( :(](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
