serious question... i need ideas.

i have 51 cents in my bank account. 1/8th of a tank of gas. only a few carrots in the fridge, with a bowl of cereal materials left too. thats it.

i have a paypal account and debit card. last night, someone paid me $40 for a sound card. i go to draw the cash out, and my paypal debit card is expired. i dont remember if i got a new one or not. i should have, but i obviously dont have it.

im frantically putting things up on craigslist for cash. i only need about $50 to get to friday. i just cashed in all of my change last week too.

what would you do? i have thought about buying something from walmart.com and re-selling it on craigslist... or if i can somehow buy a gas card with paypal and get gas.. i dont know if i should focus on gas or food right now.

Don't do anything stupid like that you're losing money. I don't use paypal often, but can you transfer money from your paypal to debit card account, and then just go to the bank.

Do you have any friends? lol.. Just give them something to hold onto till payday.
 
This is actually the kind of situation payday loans are for. Or credit cards. (If you're living paycheck to paycheck, a low-limit CC for emergencies is kind of a must-have.)

Paypal bank account transfers take a couple days. I just did this weeks sales and it said to expect the deposit on the 14th.

Any kind of internet money transfer thing will take more time than you have. You'll need to borrow locally.

If you're employed, I would probably say gas to get to/from work is more important. Stay employed, more food later.
 
even if someone mailed me cash, it would be tuesday before i got it and i cant get to work until then.

this is just a poor situation that is temporary... but man is it tough. im going through bankruptcy, so all my cc are tied up.

a payday loan might just be what i need. never thought i would have to. would someone just buy my $500 guitar amp for $200? wtf craigslist?
 
13mi from work. 1/8th tank was generous. its a ford ranger... so 15mpg min to 20mpg max, depending on weather and gas type.
 
14gal tank? You can get to and from work once safely. Pushing it, you could get to work on Tuesday. If you got sent cash to your employment, it might get there on time. You could also borrow a couple dollars from people you work with. I have $14. I'll send you half if it would help.

in madison, wi

buying batteries from walmart and returning them for a card is a good idea. maybe i can just get them to give me cash back. not sure if there are any walmart gas stations in town...

I remember driving around Oakland looking for a place to eat. Everything was closed because it was Thanksgiving, but I found a Sizzler's and saw people walking in. I parked my two-month old luxury car and went in. Apparently the Sizzler's was serving homeless people that day, but they welcomed me in. After that, I always wondered if they were letting anybody in or whether I dress and look like a homeless person.
 
you know, since im probably not going to get that paypal money into my tank anyway... how about i paypal someone $13 so they can order a couple pizzas for me? im freakin starving...

Damn.. NEVER would have thought I would hear that, as I never find users anywhere.
